App Permissions

WorkDeep requests system permissions only when a feature you use needs them. This page lists every permission the mobile app may request, why it is needed, and whether it is optional. Denying an optional permission never blocks the rest of the app — only the related feature is unavailable. You can change or revoke any permission at any time in your device settings.

1. Android Permissions

Microphone RECORD_AUDIO	Voice input and voice messages — record audio only when you tap the microphone button.	Optional
Camera CAMERA	Scanning QR codes (for example, pairing your desktop and mobile app) and taking photos to attach.	Optional
Photos & media READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE	Choosing existing photos or images to attach to a conversation. On Android 13+ this is limited to images you select.	Optional
Storage (legacy devices only) WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, Android 9 and below	Saving files and generated images on older Android versions that predate scoped storage.	Optional
Notifications POST_NOTIFICATIONS	Alerting you about new messages, completed tasks, and scheduled-task reminders.	Optional
Vibration VIBRATE	Haptic feedback for notifications and interactions.	Optional
Location ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION	Optional location features (for example, attaching your current location to a task). Location is accessed only while the feature is actively used and is never tracked in the background.	Optional

2. iOS Permissions

3. What We Never Do

We do not read your contacts, call logs, SMS messages, or other apps' data.
We do not access your phone's IMEI, device serial number, or phone number.
We do not record audio, capture images, or access location in the background or without your action.
We do not request accessibility, device-admin, or overlay permissions.

4. Managing Permissions

Android: Settings → Apps → WorkDeep → Permissions.
iOS: Settings → WorkDeep, or Settings → Privacy & Security → select the permission type.
Revoking a permission takes effect immediately; the related feature simply becomes unavailable until you grant it again.
